Weekly Video Podcast Guidelines

These guidelines apply to all video contributors, podcast guests, and submitted media content for Racers’ Pit Report (RPR).

1. Purpose

RPR produces professional-grade motorsports media including:

• Video podcasts
• Driver interviews
• Event coverage
• Industry segments

All contributors are expected to meet broadcast-quality standards.

2. Video Submission Standards

File Format:

• MP4 (H.264 codec)
• Resolution: 1080p minimum (4K preferred)
• Frame rate: 24fps or 30fps (consistent throughout)

Audio Requirements:

• Clear, distortion-free audio
• External microphone strongly recommended
• Minimal background noise

Visual Standards:

• Stable footage (tripod or stabilized)
• Proper lighting (subject clearly visible)
• Clean, uncluttered background
• Landscape orientation required

3. Remote Guest (Podcast) Standards

If appearing on the RPR podcast:

Required:

• Stable internet connection
• Webcam (HD minimum)
• External microphone or headset

Environment:

• Quiet space
• Minimal distractions
• Professional appearance preferred

4. Branding & Content Rules

• No unauthorized logos, overlays, or watermarks
• No embedded advertisements without approval
• SMP reserves final control over:
  • Graphics
  • Music
  • Branding elements

5. Content Guidelines

All video content must:

• Be relevant to motorsports or automotive culture
• Be original or properly licensed
• Avoid offensive, illegal, or unsafe behavior

6. Licensing & Usage

By submitting video content or appearing on RPR:

• You grant SMP a non-exclusive license to:
  • Publish
  • Edit
  • Distribute
• Content may be used across:
  • Social media
  • Streaming platforms
  • Promotional materials
• Commercial usage is handled separately

7. Code of Conduct

All contributors and guests must:

• Act professionally and respectfully
• Avoid defamatory or harmful statements
• Follow event and track safety rules

Failure to meet these standards may result in removal from content or future opportunities.

8. Copyright Policy

• All submitted content must be:
  • Owned by the contributor
  • Or properly licensed
• Unauthorized use of copyrighted material is prohibited

9. Final Authority

Shurv Media Productions retains full editorial and production control over all published video and podcast content.
