Magazine Submissions Guidelines

Racers’ Pit Report | Shurv Media Productions L.L.C.

Racers’ Pit Report (RPR) is a motorsports-focused publication covering car shows, racing events, teams, and industry insights across the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.

We welcome high-quality submissions from racers, teams, photographers, sponsors, and industry professionals.


1. Who Can Submit

Submissions are accepted from:

  • Drivers / Racers
  • Race Teams
  • Event Promoters
  • Sponsors / Brands
  • Photographers / Media Contributors

2. Accepted Content Types

We are currently accepting:

  • Event Coverage (race weekends, car shows, etc.)
  • Driver Spotlights / Features
  • Team Features
  • Industry Articles (parts, builds, innovations)
  • Behind-the-Scenes Content
  • Project Cars / Builds for Sale

All submissions must align with motorsports, automotive culture, or related industries.


3. Image Requirements

To maintain print-quality standards, all images must meet the following:

  • Minimum 300 DPI
  • Minimum 4000 pixels on the long edge
  • File formats: JPG or TIFF
  • No watermarks or embedded logos
  • Proper exposure, focus, and composition required

Required Metadata:

  • Photographer Name (Credit)
  • Subject Identification (Driver, Team, Event)
  • Location of Event

Usage Rights:

  • You must own the image or have explicit permission to submit it
  • Submissions must include usage rights for publication

4. Story Requirements

Written submissions should follow these standards:

  • Recommended length: 500–1500 words
  • Written in clear, structured format (AP style preferred)
  • Must include:
    • Who (driver, team, event)
    • What (event or story focus)
    • Where (location)
    • When (date)
    • Why it matters

Submissions may be edited for clarity, tone, and formatting.


5. Submission Process

Include in Email:

  • Written content (Word or PDF)
  • Image files or download link

6. Licensing & Usage Terms

By submitting content to Shurv Media Productions:

  • You grant SMP a non-exclusive license to publish and promote the content
  • SMP may use submitted content for:
    • Digital magazine publication
    • Social media promotion
    • Marketing materials
  • Commercial licensing (sponsors, brands, advertising use) is handled separately
  • Copyright remains with the original creator

7. Editorial Review & Selection

  • Submission does not guarantee publication
  • All content is subject to editorial review
  • SMP reserves the right to:
    • Edit content for clarity and quality
    • Decline submissions that do not meet standards
